Instructions on How to Obtain a Transient Vendor License

 

A transient vendor (business) license is required for the Poplar Head Farmers Market for all vendors except growers. Those who already have a business license in Dothan are still required to have this vendor license. The fee is $16.00 in person or $17.00 if obtained by mail. A free growers license may be obtained through this same office. Please call to confirm this information @ 334-677-4742. The license can be obtained in two ways:

 

  1. Go to the Probate Office at the Houston County Building at 114 N. Oates.

 

     OR

 

  1. Go online to:

www.houstoncounty.org

Highlight on the left side Departmental Directory.

Scroll down to click on Probate.

Highlight on the top left Houston Co. Probate.

Click on Probate License.

Under Business Licenses, click to download Transient Vendor License.

  1. Complete the form.
  2. Make check payable to Luke Cooley, Judge of Probate.
  3. Mail to Luke Cooley, Judge of Probate

                 Attn: Business License

                  P.O. Drawer 6406

                  Dothan, AL 36302

 

 

A City of Dothan license is being taken care of by The Downtown Group for the market. Therefore, vendors will not have to buy this.
